| Tall Stories “The original inspiration for the totems came from Nepalese prayer wheels and the interaction the worshippers had with these tactile objects. The eclectic nature of my totems is a metaphor for the diversity that exists in communities and the importance of the interaction of people of different ethnic, religious and social groups. The variety of textures, shapes and surfaces also evoke images of geological and biological diversity…” Lex Dickson. Exhibition of works showing until 19 June 2007 at Cudgegong Gallery, 102 Herbert St, Gulgong, NSW. www.cudgegonggallery.com.au |
